Argentina boosts cybersecurity and child data rules
Argentina advances bills on minors’ data on digital platforms while its 2027 budget sharply increases funding for the national cyber agency.
Argentina is moving on two tracks: bills to regulate the use of minors’ data on digital platforms and a major budget increase for the National Cybersecurity Center. Congress also exposed the lack of a specific cybersecurity law, while the government prepares a national SOC for 2027.
In September 2026, Argentina launched a set of legislative and budgetary moves aimed at two fronts, protecting minors on digital platforms and strengthening the state cybersecurity structure. Two bills on minors' personal data are moving forward. At the same time, the 2027 budget calls for a 697.9% increase for the National Cybersecurity Center, while the government prepares a national SOC for 2027.
