Last updated: 2026-07-15
By accessing and using CiberLATAM ("the Site"), operated in affiliation with Whalemate, you agree to these Terms of use. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. The Site publishes cybersecurity news, analysis, investigations, and reports for Latin America, with free registration to access the full body of some pieces.
Service description
CiberLATAM publishes editorial content on threats, vulnerabilities, regulation, fraud, and cyber intelligence. Some content is produced with AI assistance and human or automated source verification. The Site may also include newsletters, the Pulse radar, resources (communities and events), and links to Whalemate products or services.
Use of content
Published content is for informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal, technical, investment, or compliance advice. You may read it, share it with clear attribution to CiberLATAM, and quote brief excerpts with a link to the original URL. Mass reproduction, aggressive scraping for unauthorized commercial use, resale of the content, or presenting it as your own without written permission is prohibited.
User accounts
Registration is free (email and password, or supported identity providers). You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You may request account closure by contacting us. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.
Newsletters and preferences
If you subscribe to CiberLATAM newsletters, you will receive email according to the products and preferences you choose (language, countries, types). You may update preferences or unsubscribe at any time via email links or the Site preferences section. Third-party editorial products (for example, personal newsletters from authors) may have their own sender terms.
Affiliation and third-party links
The Site may display calls to action, branding, or links to Whalemate or other sites. Those destinations have their own terms and policies. CiberLATAM does not control or accept responsibility for third-party content or practices outside the Site.
Limitation of liability
CiberLATAM and Whalemate do not guarantee the absolute accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of all content, including AI-assisted material. The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or decisions made solely based on Site content.
Governing law
These terms are interpreted under the law applicable in the jurisdiction from which the service is operated, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights that apply to you. In case of dispute, we will seek a good-faith resolution before any formal claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. Changes take effect when published on this page, with the last-updated date shown above. Continued use of the Site after publication means acceptance of the current version.
